"Isn't it interesting that those who scoff at success actually desire it deep within themselves?"
To find true success in life, you have to understand…it’s not about you, it’s about you helping others. We've discussed this before here.
Consider yourself successful only when you have enriched the life of another. And understand you have as many purposes in your life as you have people in your life.
No amount of success, without happiness, is worth the time and effort required.
You can achieve whatever success you desire through the use of your natural talents, constant learning, time and effort.
Make sure lifelong learning is a habit with you. One of the greatest learning tools ever discovered is repetitive learning...repetitive learning...repetitive learning...
Develop an interest in learning new things, test your ideas, and dedicate yourself to continuous self-improvement in all areas of life.
Share your experiences with others. We desperately need more people in the world who are productive and helpful. This is what we were designed to be. So share your insights, knowledge, experience, and wisdom with others.
Remember this analogy, a candle does not lose any of its flame by lighting another candle.

Here's How to Have a Happy Life
"When all is said and done, success without happiness is the worst kind of failure."
Humanity is almost unanimous in their conclusion that one of the highest goals of life is to be happy.
Your happiness depends more on what you are as a person than any external factor(s). Be careful when you are tempted to leave a place, job, situation, loved one, or anything you believe is causing you unhappiness.
We've spent a lot of time studying the topic of success on this blog. Ultimately, success does not create happiness, but it is a part of happiness.
Here are some pieces of a happy life:
- a sense of being. To be able to wake up, enjoy the beauty of the world, satisfy your appetite, and to interact with others.
- a sense of belonging. To work with others to attain something, to be a part of a family and community.
- a sense of meaning. To build something, to have a role, to have connections and comradery.
- a sense of growing. Learning, compassion, forgiveness and love. Always be looking for ways to be growing in the different areas of life.
- a sense of giving. Whether it is money, time, talent, or ourselves, it is more blessed to give than to receive. Be a giver instead of a taker, and notice how quickly more and more blessings are added to your life.
Here's a worthy saying for your consideration: life is not about you, it’s about you helping others.
It's never too late to live happily ever after. Start today.

How to Create a More Successful Family Environment
"We inevitably doom our children to frustration and failure when we try to set their goals for them."
There is probably no harder task in the world than to raise a child well from birth to adulthood. Some important principles to teach along the way include:
- value people, especially family members, for who they are.
- give encouragement to others; it helps them develop the courage needed to persist.
- don't be afraid to make mistakes. Does anyone learn anything without making mistakes? Not really, making mistakes is just part of the learning process.
Each of us need to develop a core set of principles and measure each of our decisions against those principles.
The only real way to teach values is to live them. Our children need to learn what we have learned and especially what has helped us along the way.
Our children should NOT do things just because we say NOT to do them, they should decide for themselves based on their values.
Life is not about you, it's about you helping others. Now go and help others learn these important principles, especially those in your own family.
